UPDATED: Hamptons Hideaway - Living Room Set for TS4

Updated 21/01/2017: With the toddler patch breaking a few things, I have taken the opportunity and gone through and updated my sets to fix issues and generally improve on some things. Here, I have updated all seating with tags and toddler rigs, updated bookcase for toddlers, fixed leaning mirror so it doesn't get script errors, and turned the occasional bench into a love seat so sims can't sit through the sides.
UPDATE 21/07/2016: Set updated for July Lighting patch. Download individual files at the bottom of the post.

With all the building I have been doing in Windenburg, it has shown me just how much I needed to create some more classic-contemporary furniture that could be used in these coastal homes. I love Hamptons design, so I went about creating my own set of furniture and decor inspired by this style. The last classic/contemporary set I made was my Shaker kitchen which this is designed to be used with, along with my Bayside Bedroom. I do plan to make more furniture with less of a modernist feel, and this is the latest set with that goal in mind. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me.

Due to the length of these posts and for ease of updating, you can find the download and info under the cut.

A few notes on this set in regards to usability and features:

  • The leaning mirror has a large slot and can be placed on the fireplace. There is a trick to it though; turn on MoveObjects cheat and place mirror on slot. Then pickit back up (but don't move away from the slot) and at this point it will snap to the wall then place down again
  • To place the pillows, hold down alt while placing and rotating with your mouse for finer rotation and position placement
  • The bookcase is functional so your sims can grab books from it as well as place decor on it. To use all slots turn on MoveObjects
  • The coffee table also has small slots on the lower shelf
  • Both the treacle console and credenza have TV slots

The Build/Buy items feature:
  • basegame compatibility
  • non-default
  • 39 meshes in total with between 5 and 35 colour/style options:
  • find items easily using phrase "Hamptons" or "Hideaway" in search bar (try this tutorial to easily find my sets)

  • custom thumbnails

  • All custom content, apart from the curtains (found here) is all mine, so feel free to browse through my downloads to find it.
Now, there are 2 download types; one for separate packages and one with all items merged. The archives contains the package file(s) and style images inside a folder. Extract the archive using winRAR or WinZip, place the package file(s) in your mods folder, then look for them in your game. I hope you enjoy. No onedrive choice this time, just takes too long to upload to all these places.

Merged Collection:

Separated Collection:

I have also uploaded the files individually for those with the separated packages to download the items separately. There will be no alternate download for these individual files.

  10. are you gonna do a bedroom set

    1. maybe, idk. No solid plans but it could happen in the future

  11. Hi! Absolutely love your creations, use majority of them in game, but unfortunately Hamptons set, Lennox dining and Looker windows+entry frames do not show up in my game. Any ideas what the reason might be? Re-downloaded, re-installed, removed all other cc and these sets still do not show up. With lots, it is possible to check the box of "show custom content" or whatever it was, but I have no idea, if similar checkbox is for build and buy objects (except the one under options, which I have already checked. So sad... :(

    1. if you have ticked the box in the options menu to enable cc, that is all you should do. Ensure your game is fully up-to-date too. Also perhaps check your mod folder setup is correct, there is a link up the top with help links for that. Unfortunately, I can only give the general help tips asa lot of times, these individual reasons for cc not showing up is system specific and hard to pin point.

    2. Thanks for your reply! After posting my question I discovered that a couple of other recently downloaded items did not show up either. Browsed the forums and searched for possible reason and came to the conclusion that the most likely reason is not having the last game pack and update yet - sorry, my mistake. :) I will update my game sometime soon and hope to see and use your truly amazing sets in game. Once again - thank you for creating such beautiful, clear and original items! All the best!

    3. Not a problem, updating is one of the main reasons items do not work. Hopefully once you update you have no issues :)

    4. It took a while (summer vacation and all that ...) but I just wanted to confirm that all items that did not show up earlier work just fine after updating. :) So very happy... :D Thanks again for sharing Your creations and support!

  12. Thank you so much for sharing all this ! Fantastic !

  13. Thank you for all your work! I'm having a bit of an issue with some of the lighting pulling up a "script call fail" error after todays update =/ is there a way i can fix it?

    1. sims 4 studio has just updated which includes a batch fix to update lighting. I still need to update my files though, but using the s4s batch fix would work much quicker
